Western Bahia and Luis Eduardo

Thought I'd include a few maps to indicate where exactly I am in the world and in Brazil. This first map  shows where Western Bahia is in South America and where it is in Brazil. Luis Eduardo Magalhaes is indicated by the red pointer, you can see to the South where Brasilia is.

This second map is a little more detailed of the region. Again, Luis Eduardo is indicated by a red marker. Notice the lighter, brownish streak through the map. This is where cerrado has been cleared for agriculture. To the NW of this agricultural area is a sheer drop-off - this drop off is one of the reasons that rainfall is so regular in the region. The consistent rainfall is one of the primary draws for farmers here.
