Providence and the New England Aquarium

So quite awhile ago, we promised some pictures of the New England Aquarium which we visited on New Year's Eve and Providence which we visited on Amanda's birthday, finally, here they are.

On New Year's we bought Boston's First Night tickets which got us into a lot of activities, museums, and concerts around town, the first thing we did was go to the aquarium.  It was packed with kids and strollers so it was a little hard to get around, but was really nice.

For Amanda's birthday we went to a cold and windy Providence.  The Rhode Island School of Design Art Museum was great, a lot more than we'd expected to see.  And we got to walk around the Brown University campus too, which was beautiful.  I suppose it looks quite a bit like Harvard or UNC (which we'll post later). We went to a few shops downtown too, although a lot of them were closed for renovations or soon to open.  We finished the day with a nice dinner at a local brewery and a huge piece of chocolate cake for Amanda (right, I had a small piece too).
